Pensaments of an Anthropological Patzer

So much cooler than giant mutant trout

Sergei Elnitsky, a comrade of mine from #Poetry, on Undernet, has posted his sublimely clever translations of Russian actor Vladimir Vysotsky’s (Влади́мир Высо́цкий) songs. The translations are accompanied by RealAudio copies of the original Russian songs, which make for equally amusing listening. (Vysotsky was an actor, and his delivery is comically spot-on, even when you haven’t the foggiest idea what he’s saying.) Serge’s heard this from me enough that it’s probably getting embarrassing, but ‘Moscow to Odessa‘ is especially good.

(As for the trout — they will, apparently, have no special mutant powers, but will simply be large and full of meat.)
